A blog a day keeps procrastination away

Trying my hand at daily blogging.

Yesterday, Friday 24th July, not only was it an end of a project I’ve been working on for 5 weeks, not only did I forget to pay my water bill on time (due date was the 23rd), and not only did I put out a 6th blog post in a row, but I also mentioned: could I keep the daily blogging up. Here’s the evidence:

Now that I’ve dug my own grave, so to speak, doing something like writing a blog or taking up a hobby takes commitment. That commitment can easily be tested with the arch nemesis to anyone wanting to do any form of important or hard work: procrastination.

Long before I started this blog in September/October last year (2014) I liked to write. I wanted to blog but I never knew what to blog about. What that really was me procrastinating and getting in my own way instead of just doing it. Just do it!

I’ve enjoyed putting finger to keyboard and getting stuff out of my techy head and sharing some of the frustrations, some of the discoveries and some of the wins I’ve had. So for the foreseeable future, I think I’m going to try and blog as much as I can.

Working with cloud technology, which in my mind has allot more progress to be made with allot more innovation and improvement in services and functionality, there’s a wealth of content and information to digest and regurgitate.

Final words

There are a million ways to lose a work day, but not even a single way to get one back.
