This might seem silly. Watching Shia LaBeouf acting as a motivational coach. What does the funny, fast talking guy from Transforms know about keeping you motivated? That doesn’t matter. What matters is the content and this definitely a motivating movie.
At first this was hilarious. I laughed but found myself watching it over and over each time less of a laugh and looking past the acting. Its a 1 minute push in the right direction. The right direction? Well that depends on where you’re going and what you’re doing.
For me recently this has helped me work up the motivation to speak at the Sydney Office 365 User Group. While its not a big group my any stretch of the imagination, it does have some great people behind it, great and enthusiastic people attending wanting to learn about the intricacies of Office 365 and related cloud products.
Public speaking can be a scary prospect. I’ve not spoken in front of large groups of people, in a formal setting, since debating days in high school. Unfortunately that’s over a decade ago. Man, I’m getting old.
