Without a goal, you can't score

Pun, intended.

@caseyneistat is a film director, producer and creator of fantastic short videos. His YouTube channel has inspired me greatly. I’m constantly checking his channel for new and exciting videos.

Goals are an important part life. Setting them and accomplishing them for me is always a fantastic feeling. The feeling of accomplishment puts to bed stress, allowing you to relax and reflect on the effort that was put into achieving that goal.

For some time now I’ve been trying to set small goals (what I call ‘quick wins’) and big goals (what I call ‘big ticket items’). I usually keep these in my head and reflect on them often enough where they’re tattooed on my brain, or write them down in my personal notebook where I check on them on an almost daily basis. It provides me with motivation to get that feeling of achievement back that always puts a smile on my face.

Recently through my RSS travels through the internets, I stumbled across a little Kickstarter project called “Goal Board” - Link here.

This is essentially a minimalistic wall poster, something so simple that I wish I had thought of it before the team at unfiber.com, outlining a yearly, quarterly and monthly breakdown of goals. The team at unfiber.com describe the Goal Board as “…a constant visible reminder of where you’re headed in life”.

I’m figuring out where I can put this in my study to ensure I’m always on top of my goals. Give it a look as it may provide you with that motivation to kick some of those goals.
